Cumberland, Maryland, 1891 by William D. Paisley
A very interesting little real estate pamphlet, written towards convincing people to moving to Cumberland, Maryland. At the time Cumberland was an up-and-coming industrial town– not quite “booming,” but definitely on the edge. The pamphlet goes into detail about what kind of businesses, tourist attractions, historical monuments, and development opportunities exist in Cumberland and nearby areas. Notes The scanned digital copy has transposed the last two pages and put them at the front, right after the cover images. Digitized by the Internet Archive; original from the Library of Congress.
